What do I think of "Y2K"? Well, lessee... the fact that they have a cutesy-pie little symbol for it speaks volumes. But basically, to quote Deep Throat from the Watergate days, "Follow the Money!".

Look at those who are shouting the loudest about how it will be so devastating, and other fearmongering rhetoric... that you need to stock up on all the survival stuff you can. Could it possibly be all the people trying to SELL all the survival stuff they are screaming at you that you 'need' to buy? Get a clue, people!

What I fully expect is a whole bunch of people will feel pretty stupid and thoroughly ripped off while a few rich snake-oil salesmen laugh their heads off January 1, 2000. Oh, but then I expect they will point out that the end of the millenium is not (as is actually the case) until the night of December 31, 2000... and that THIS is when the end of the world will happen! And I expect the gullible fools to buy into that as well. Apparently P.T. Barnum was right... there IS a sucker born every minute!
