Neapolitan Mastiff
Information page
Those who care about their dogs do not use them for making puppies without rest many times in a row, since a dam is puppy herself. A Neapolitan Mastiff female is matured enough to have puppies not earlier than 18 months old. (Nobody wants their daughter become a mom at 12 years old).
For this reason there is a limitation in breeding age in all FCI countries, a female cannot be bred earlier than a particular age, a litter cannot be registered if she is in whelp earlier than should, if she was not shown and was not awarded with "excellent" or "very good" estimation and written critique.
Ask if the breeder knows the background of his Neapolitan Mastiffs as much as he says he does. To say he knows is just WORDS, nothing else, because everyone has his own understanding of that word meaning.
Do not buy the new hook easily, BE CAREFUL because they have already made some of the most ignorant statements without facts (about BEST bloodlines and colors), desiring in their own dreams that their best is the best and stating it LOUD in public.
- all mentioned above.
If they have made such statements and are trying to promote themselves as the BEST, they might not wish to share the truth about the real things, prefer to keep them in secret, or just do not know about what they promote...,  being in the breed for a short time - STAY AWAY from those !!!
Calling themselves "dedicated" and "knowledgeable" without  knowing the meaning of those words is not enough, especially when said by someone who does not know ABC in this breed yet!!!
You will need assistance with your puppy, and the IGNORANT breeder or someone who is inexpirienced could not mentor you as much as should. And breeding for inbreeding (blood-related) TO the representative of the breed who did not make 3-4 years old and reffering the BEST is just pity !!!
This page for articles concerned the Neapolitan Mastiff breed.
Tips for the Neapolitan Mastiff buyers:
Everyone wants a healthy dog/puppy from the Best parents & knowledgeable breeder. Here is a hook for you.
Nowadays everyone has a website, many say their dogs are the BEST and from the BEST bloodline, what already sounds weird even for any newbie in any breed and should make a potential buyer to think once more before dealing with those.
Sounds like a person gets up on stage declaring he is the best, everything he has is the best over all rest. How pathetic it might sound !?!
What means the BEST BLOODLINE? Who and When in this World declared which bloodline is to be considered the Best & Better over all rest?
The pity side is when ignorant 2-days-in-the-breed people promote themselves as "committed", "dedicated" and "knowledgeable", but in reality know nothing and need to spend a few more days in the breed by learning, reading, going to shows instead of throwing out the declaration about their dedication.
If you know what "bloodline" means, how it starts, who is considered to be the first in bloodline, etc., please ask those (just for your fun!) to explain what they have meant saying LOUD words "the BEST" bloodline?
If you will get any respond - you might LYAO ! More likely you will not get any respond, especially if will sound knowing a bit about DOG WORLD and sound a bit educated on this point.
   Mostly the bloodlines they list have BIG Problems, more Health issues than any other bloodline, and need a promotion because it is only they have in hands and breed.
Who sells the BEST bloodlines, knows nothing about it, and it is just WORDS which vibrate air only!
Promoting themselves and bloodlines (they work with) as the BEST without the slightest idea what a word "bloodlines" means and stands for, without knowing their Neapolitan Mastiffs` background and without seeing those in person, not even seen their parents, only on pictures, is at LEAST stupid and pathetic !
Promoting their bloodlines as "THE BEST" where a dogs` life span is 2-3 yrs old, where the best dog they breed to (inbred or not) died earlier than 3-4 yrs old. If they have never seen in person that dog, or even more to say have not seen any parent of their dogs, they are promoting their production only for a reason to sell puppies for $, and make more with the next litter. Healthy dogs do not die at 4 years old (except a tragical accident).
For the same reason they have rules not to register 2 litters per year from the same female, what makes sense. AKC does not ask for the same, and you can register a litter out of the puppy-female with disqualification faults, never shown, having up to 7 teeth missing, and not even close to meet the breed standard.
To reproduce healthy puppies with good immune system a Dam should be healthy and recovered after a previous litter. So beware if you want a healthy puppy! STAY AWAY from the breeders who say "The BEST bloodlines" because they do not know anything about bloodlines !!!
They more likely:
- know nothing;
- do not know the difference;
- do not understand what is important;
- do not care about dogs and how long thier life span is;
And a life span of a female gets shorter if she is being used without a rest. Make a note !!!
Ask the breeder if he showed his Neapolitan Mastiffs at least once? And if not, ask why??? Hopefully will get a reasonable respond, if will get any.
Do not buy puppies from someone who has them and does not own them and parents !!! Ask why the breeder (who owns) does not keep dogs on his household and does not nurse puppies?
Why then does another person nurse litters, knowing nothing but already stats their "D-E-D-I-CA-T-I-O-N" and "BEST BLOODLINES"?
Isn`t it because these breeders were offered "a great deal"? Isn`t because a person cannot afford to buy and own good dogs on his own OR just searching for a CHEAPER deal? If you come across these people... STAY AWAY!!!

Make a note!!!
Buying a Neapolitan Mastiff from those "BEST BLOODLINES" you might buying yourself a veterinarian bill.
Neapolitan Mastiff is a big and serious dog ! They mature after 2 years old.
Before you buy a pup ask the breeder how old is the dam of the litter? How many litters has she had?
STAY AWAY from those who breed a female (Neapolitan Mastiff) under age (under at least 18 months old) and after 5 years old, if she whelped more than 4 litters, has a few litters in a row without any rest being used for making puppies !
Do not buy if they say it is for improvement of the breed, for better health of a dam or especially for better health of puppies. IT IS NOT TRUE!
The IGNORANCE and ABSENCEof any knowledge is clearly shown in their statements.
When you have seen the parents and at least 2-3 generations behind of each dog you breed is when you can start thinking that you "know A BIT" about your dogs` background.
If will get lucky and get a response from these people, you will find out many interesting things ...everything, but NOT WHAT WAS ASKED...

Just think for a second, if a female had 10 puppies at 16 months old and goes into whelp in 6 months again, what kind of health and immune system puppies from the 2nd litter will have?
