DOOM II

Back in the day all I used to play on my families old 386 PC was Doom.  I had Doom, Doom II, Doom Hints & Tips, Mods, Level Edits, everything I could get my hands on.  Last year I was going thru some boxes and I found all my old Doom CD's and manuals.  I decided to see if they would work in on my laptop, an HP Pavillion 5000 with 3.2Ghz PIV, 1.4GB RAM, 128MB Video RAM on an ATI Mobility Radeon chipset. Long story short, everything I tried would not get the game to run.  I began searching the internet looking for some advice and I can across a set of programs called jDoom and the DoomsDay engine.  I downloaded these programs, told it where to look for my doom2.wad file and away I went, killing everything I could find.  Check out Doomsdayhq.com for more datails.
