Divisional Ranking Guidelines (General)

1-1. Competitors must compete in the division that pertains to their rank at the date of each tournament in the series. 
    Competitor must move up to next highest rank group if the promotion makes them higher than rank group that they have competed in previously. All Dan ranks compete together.
 

The following guidelines will be used to determine what rank group you or your child should enter. If you or your child is promoted to a higher group, you must note this on your application for for the next tournament.

Beginner
White Belts
(Jukyu, Kukyu, Hachikyu, Nanakyu {Sichikyu})
 

Katas Performed For These Ranks
Sanchin, Kanshiwa

Novice
Yellow, Gold, Orange Belts
(Hachikyu, Nanakyu {Sichikyu}, Rokkyu)

Intermediate
Blue, Purple, Green Belts
