Doug Westberg is a singer/composer/keyboardist and recording artist
whose résumé is as varied as he is versatile. During its year-long run, hundreds
of theatergoers enjoyed Doug's music--and acting and writing--in the two-person
cabaret musical comedy, "
The Almost Has-been and the Nearly Never Was" with Carol
Holden. 
He has been a jazz-rock performer, theatrical
music director and performer, concert organist, choir director, published poet
and prolific composer of classical, choral, instrumental, sacred, and jazz-pop
music.
Classically trained, with roots in rock, folk, jazz, classical, sacred, Tin
Pan Alley and Broadway, Doug's synthesis of arch lyrics, 80's jazz-rock sensibilities,
and sublime vocals is an experience not to be missed. His CD Phrenology
ranges from the driving boogie-woogie of "I Make the Livin'
(But She Makes the Livin' Fine)" to the Caribbean-tinged intricacy of "You
Don't Have To Go It Alone," the bluesy, trenchant social commentary of
"I Believe In You," the humorous honky-tonk of "He Wants To Be
A Rock 'n' Roll Star," and the soaring, romantic synth-pop of "Stay
With Me."
