LEO

A constellation in the Northern Hemisphere of the sky containing the bright stars Regulus and Denebola.
The constellation and astrological sign is symbolized by a lion and it may be the first constellation to be pictorially represented. It is known in Greek mythology as the Nemean Lion and from the story of Hercules and one of his twelve labours.

Leo is the fifth sign of the zodiac in astrology. Every one of the twelve Astrological signs of the Zodiac correspond to an Element and a planet. Leo is associated with the element of fire and its ruling planet is the Sun. (In astrology the Sun and the Moon are considered planetetary bodies).

Each Astrological sign is also associated with certain attributes which would make up the personality of the individual born during that period of time.
One would be considered a Leo if they are born between July 23 and August 22. There is a period known as a cusp which varies amoung different astrologers. This meaning one born within a few days before or after july 23, or August 22 in this example would be on the Cusp and could be influenced by the astrological sign preceeding or following it.
Leo's can be colorfull and dramatic. Loyal, bossy, arrogant, creative, passionate, generous, and loving. The Leo type is the most dominant, spontaneously creative and extrovert of all the zodiacal characters.
