LOGICAL POSITIVISM

Also known as logical empiricism.

Logical Positivism is a philosophy which states that only 'facts of experience' are worth knowing and scientific achievement is worth studying/basing action on. This was a reaction to the rise of Mysticism of the 19th Century.
