Mike Hashem of Ossipee, New Hampshire
  Mike is a 'Journeyman' banjo player and antique collector.  In the 70's he worked at Sweeney's Gay Nineties in Rowley, MA. He has performed from Hawaii to New Orleans, and was featured performer with Pete Fountain on the Mississippi Queen Steamship Line millennium cruise.  He won the 1985 U.S. Open Banjo Championship, and performs regularly with his group "Dixieland Strollers" and with the Connecticut Festival Jazz Band and numerous other groups.

Mike has an excellent CD backed by Scott Philbrick on cornet, Mel Deveau trumpet, Noel Kaletsky reeds and Chuck Stewart, tuba.  All American Banjo Classics.  The front and back of the CD are pictures of  his 1934 Gibson All-American Tenor Banjo, of which approximately 10 were made.
