Stompin’-Good Dixieland
March 9 in Taunton

   TAUNTON, Ma. – For over 20 years, the Bay State Stompers have meant foot-stompin’ Dixieland and traditional jazz music livening up everything  from private parties to the gubernatorial speeches at the State House.

                        The band brings its version of brassy good times to Steve’s Backstage Pass. 15 School St., Taunton Sunday, March 9 in the latest installment of Sunday Night Jazz. Show time is 7 p.m. Admission is $10.

                        The Stompers are a seven piece Dixieland Band consisting of a trumpet, trombone, clarinet, two banjos, tuba and percussion. The band was formed in 1985 by Bill Kass (tuba) and Paul Gookin (reeds) with Mike Palmieri (trumpet) and Bob Campbell (banjo & vocals) who continue to play together today.
