The Wolverine Jazz Band was selected by the Cape Cod Jazz Society to perform at the Society's 31st Spring jazz concert on May 18.

Tickets for the general public were $25, CCJS members $20, and, in an effort to attract badly-needed younger folks who tend to love OKOM once they get a chance to hear it, $5 for students. Proceeds of this concert go to fund the CCJS High School Jazz Ensemble and award scholarships to deserving young CC students

The venue was the Tilden Arts Center auditorium at Cape Cod Community College, West Barnstable, and the spacious hall held a good-size crowd of fans.

Tunes included "When My Dreamboat Comes Home", "The Mooche", "Clarinet Marmalade", "Down By The Old Mill Stream", "Yellow Dog Blues", "September In The Rain", "Dinah", "Honey Pie", "Caravan", and "Jive At Five", and others.

Band members include John Clark (clarinet, saxophone, leader), Jeff Hughes (cornet, trumpet), Tom Boates (trombone, vocals), Ross Petot (piano), Jimmy Mazzy (banjo, vocals), Rick MacWilliams (tuba), and Dave Didriksen (drums). and all were in fine form!
