The Greater Milford Community Chorus will sing "Season of Joy", a holiday concert, on Friday, Dec. 4, and Saturday, Dec. 5, at 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m., preceding the Milford Firefighters Christmas Parade.

The concert will be held at the Memorial Hall Cultural Center, 30 School Street, Milford. The building is handicapped accessible at the side entrance. Refreshments will be available.

Many new voices have been added to this year's chorus, with new members coming from Holliston and Wrentham, as well as Bellingham, Franklin, Mendon, Milford and Upton.

A variety of songs celebrating Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza and winter will be included in this holiday program.

Admission is $5.00 for everyone over the age of 12, and tickets may be purchased at The Music House, 157 E. Main St., and The Music Nook (Music & Arts Center), 164 Main St., both in Milford. Tickets will also be sold at the door for all performances.

The Melody & Harmony group of the chorus will also be singing in the lobby of Milford High School during the Christmas Gallery of Arts & Crafts, sponsored by Milford Boy Scout Troop 18, on Saturday, Nov. 28.

The GMCC is sponsored by the Milford Community Use Program and the Milford Cultural Council, which is funded in part by the Massachu8setts Cultural Council.

Rehearsals for the spring concert will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010. New singers are always welcome.
