Holly's thoughts....

Sarah Spencer’s Transatlantic Band:
In Saturday’s first performance, Sarah and her band “woke up” her
admirers with an electrifying My Memphis Baby. No, It Ain’t My
Fault and Move the Body Over, among others, followed.
What a great way to be energized for the day! |

Cornet Chop Suey Brian Casserly is the ultimate showman even if he does
compare himself to a big sprinkley jelly donut (or an eggplant
when he has his purple shirt on). Each set has a theme which is
reflected in his CDs. I heard many enthusiastic comments
about his tribute to Louis Armstrong, especially his informative
stories.
Another story about “That’s A Plenty” reminding him of silent
movie chase scenes…the chase, the horses, the panic music all
the way to “The End” of his “three reel” musical arrangement was
super. Brian, Tommy, Jerry and Brett” performance of “Over
the Rainbow” from throughout the audience was exceptional.

Connecticut Festival All-Stars
Scotty described the group as an “organized jam session”… if they
know it, they will play it. A wonderful group, I really enjoyed them
