Heartbeat Jazz Band's leader Bill Logozzo says "There's something about this music.  You can see it in the audience's eyes.  It's a communication that goes on and on...  a communication between the players and the audience.  All the barriers fall!  There is joy, a happiness, it's a wonderful place to be whether you are participating or listening".  That perfectly describes The 22nd Great Connecticut Traditional Jazz Festival 2008 held at the Sunrise Resort in Moodus Connecticut from July 25th through the 27th.

This was the rainiest July in the last 20 years, complete with wide-ranging thunder and lightening,  But Reverend Josh Cromwell must have been doing his homework because Blue Sky and Sunshine broke out just in time for this festival.  Director Ray Ross and his multitude of volunteers were very thankful; they worked tirelessly all year planning and preparing to present a spectacular festival.  And they did!
