Yes!  Al Vega, Boston's Living Legend of Jazz, will play an exclusive engagement at the Sherborn Inn, Thursday 4 Nov. 7-9:30 PM.  In his 89th year, Al continues a very active musical schedule, which includes evenings at the famed Oak Room at Boston's Copley Plaza Hotel.  Al has played with all of the greats in and around Boston for more than 70 years.  This, from his website:

The history of the New England jazz scene is neatly summarized in the person of AL VEGA. Al has been gigging in the Boston area since 1938 and he's still one of the area's foremost jazz artists. The Boston Media refers to Al as "Boston's Living Legend of Jazz". He's worked opposite virtually every name in American jazz - to mention a few: Dizzy Gillespie, Betty Carter, Lester Young, Stan Getz, Billie Holiday! He's shared with them Boston's legendary jazz rooms: The HiHat, Storyville, The Ken Club, The Jazz Workshop.

The Al Vega Trio appears regularly at Lucky's, the Beehive, and many other clubs in the Boston area.

Equally accomplished on the vibes, Al will be featured this evening on the Inn's Yamaha grand piano.  He's accompanied by several of the Inn's popular performers, including Jimmy Mazzy (banjo, vocals), Jeff Hughes (cornet), Craig Ball (reeds), Justin Meyer (string bass), and Steve Taddeo (drums).  This will be a special evening, featuring a very special gentleman!
