5 Tue -- Paris Washboard will be appearing at the Bickford Theatre in Morristown, NJ the day after the New Wolverines, a world class Australian band, play there. This exclusive East Coast stop is their first visit to the US in two years. Given the plunging dollar and the escalating cost of flights, future visits are in doubt, to say the least. Hope you'll spread the word among jazz fans, since there are few opportunities to hear either band in this region. The Bickford Box Office is at (973) 971-3706, and they can supply further information and sell tickets over the phone. Previous visits have resulted in sellouts, so caution anyone coming from afar to order tickets ahead of time. Daniel Barda, Alain Marquet and Girard Bardot will be on this trip, but Louis Mazetier must fly directly to the Orange County Classic in Costa Mesa, their ultimate destination this trip. We'll have Jeff Barnhart at the piano. He has subbed for Louis several times for festivals and cruises where Louis was unavailable, so the performance won't suffer.   www.morrismuseum.org
