Main St. Sherborn MA (508) 655-9521 $10 admission. (Back from acclaimed performances at the Olympic and Chattanooga jazz fests.)  Since 1995 the Wolverine Jazz Band has been entertaining lovers of Traditional Jazz all over Boston and southern New England. In Massachusetts alone, they have raised the roof at the Sherborn Inn, crisped the leaves at sundry Town Green summer concerts, and flaked the varnish on church pews in the Boston suburbs. Consisting of trumpeter Jeff Hughes, banjoist Jimmy Mazzy, trombonist Tom Boates, pianist Ross Petot, tuba player Rick MacWilliams, drummer Dave Didriksen, and reedman-leader John Clark, the Wolverines will play a selection of standards and jazz tunes from the Jazz-Era and beyond.

10-11 8pm Boston Pops JazzFest live from Symphony Hall, Boston. Featured artists this year include the The Dizzy Gillespie All Stars' Symphony Sessions, with James Moody, Slide hampton, Claudio Roditi, John Lee, Lewis Nash, and Roy Asaf. Along with the Afro-Cuban spirit of Arturo Sandoval, these artists carry the soul of jazz into a promising future. The June 10 and 11 pair of performances showcases the great Cuban trumpeter and pianist Arturo Sandoval with guest conductor Jeff Tyzik.
