So far, these are pathetic.  If you want to see some real amateur astrophotos, go here.

Jupiter

Date: 1/6/2000 9:06pm Location: my driveway
Exposure: 1 second Film: Seattle Filmworks ASA 200
Image: Scanned from color print at 300 dpi/24 bit Method: Eyepiece Projection using 6mm Vixen Lanthanum with extension tube
Comments: This picture was taken while the dec clutch was slipping slowly.  The telescope was sitting on a kitchen stool in my driveway and would shift badly when I wound the film.   I would align Jupiter in the finder then wiggle the scope around until I could see it through the camera.  Focus was very tough.  Then I would watch it slide up in the viewfinder and as it passed through the center of the viewfinder, I would snap the shot.  I took shots at 1/60, 1/30, 1/15, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15, 30, 60 seconds.  Several days later I dropped the camera down the stairs and the back popped open and I lost the last couple of exposures.  However, everything under 1 second was so black that Seattle Filmworks didn't print it and everything from 4 seconds on was overexposed (here is the index print).  Even 2 seconds looked a little too bright.
