Music Leader's Training Workshop
Music plays a very vital role on a Walk to Emmaus weekend. Although music is a gifting and a passion, there
are logistical and administrative requirements needed to fill this imperative role on a Walk to Emmaus or
Chrysalis Flight weekend. Therefore, music training is a pre-requisite before new community members
are eligible to serve in music. For those of you that have previously been to music training, please remember
that your training must be updated every two years in order to serve on a Walk or Flight. There have
been several changes in the last few years with CCLI reporting, equipment upgrades, and required song adjustments
of which you must be aware.
Music training will be held at Mt Pisgah UMC from 9-12 on Saturday,
January 23rd, 2010. For those of you interested in attending this upcoming training session, and to get the room
number for the training, please send an email to Lori Kennedy
to sign up. Please send your Walk /
Flight number, name of Church, any instruments you play, and places in which you have participated in music
in the past such as a praise team or praise band. There will be a $5 documentation fee requested the day of the
training.
