Welcome to the 1st Series Sculpts, 2nd Series Colors section of the Cheap Toys Archive!
In order for you to appreciate this section, I have to give you a little information about 2nd series Cheap Toys. Yes, that's right, there was a 2nd series of Cheap Toys. The 2nd series Cheap Toys consisted of 10 new, unique sculpts also, of course, based on original Garbage Pail Kid characters. (In the future, I hope to create a seperate archive dedicated to the 2nd series Cheap Toys.)
The 2nd series Cheap Toys were released in Canada by the company Novo Bonbon, and their production seems to have been limited. With the combination of these two factors, 2nd series Cheap Toys are scarce.
The sculpts were produced in four colors: New shades of red, green, blue, and an altogether new, solid Yellow color! They consist of a lighter, harder plastic as well -- a departure from the softer, heavier 1st series plastic.
So, back to the first sentence: 1st series sculpts, 2nd series colors. What does it mean? In November of 2005, avid Cheap Toys collector, Galaxy, won a very unique Cheap Toys figure off of eBay that stirred things up in the Cheap Toys-collecting community.

Galaxy explains:
"The following is the exact e-mail I received from a Canadian Cheap Toy collector back on December 2, 2005...he's referring to the Yellow Leaky Lindsay figure I purchased from him...very interesting indeed...

So there you have it. And while the seller's information hasn't been confirmed, the Yellow Leaky Lindsay matches up perfectly in both color and plastic type with other Yellow 2nd series Cheap Toys figures. Furthermore, the same collector, Galaxy, has managed to attain a few other 1st series sculpts in 2nd series plastic, all of which I will be featuring here in the future.
For now, let's get things started with a closer look at 2nd series Yellow Leaky Lindsay!

Interestingly, Yellow Lindsay has a pronounced lean to the back. However, it doesn't negatively affect the sculpt in any way, and is only noticable in comparison to other Lindsay sculpts. Okay, well, maybe she's a little hunch-backed, but we won't tell her.

Yellow Lindsay also has a tiny hole at the base of her kneck, the likely culprit for her hunched back and lean. Perhaps due to an air bubble or some other anomaly, the liquid plastic must not have settled correctly in the mold. Regardless, like the lean, the tiny hole brings nothing negtive to the sculpt and only acts to make it more unique!
