I. Purpose
Nightbane was formed to be a raiding guild on Karana. We only accept level 63+ into our
numbers. We intend to explore new things, always choosing the unknown over the beaten path.
II. General Rules
Being in Nightbane requires a certain level of maturity and all members will be expected
to live up to them. If you do not live up to the expectations of the administration you will
be guild removed. This section applies to things like repeated training, ninja looting,
obscene language in any forum, or personal attacks on anyone. Any of these are unacceptable
and will be dealt with by the officers as they see fit. It is a privilege to be in Nightbane,
and unacceptable behavior may be grounds for guild removal.
III. Guild Events
Nightbane hosts both required and non-required guild events. If you are on during a required
event you will be expected to be there. These events will be scheduled in advance and everyone
will know about them. Non-required guild events will also go on. Although it is not required
you attend, you may still potentially gain more privileges in the loot system.
IV. Nightbane Attendance / Loot
Attendance
NightBane uses a points system to give out loot. Points are earned through attendance. You get points
for showing up to raids and killing mobs of varying difficulty. The harder mobs will be worth more
points than easier mobs. The range of values assigned to mobs can be anywhere from 0 to 3 points.
Basically, if you show up, you will earn enough points to get items.
Loot
Loot will be done on a system of rolls, based off of your total points. The minimum amount of points
to be let in on a specific item is set by the worth of the item itself, found in our library. The
maximum value is set by the person with the most points, or 150 points, whichever is lower. The random
set will be found by having the person with the highest points roll ( his total points * 10 ) to
( ( his total points * 10 ) + 100 ), or will roll 1500 to 1600 if he has more than 150 points. Everyone
else will roll ( their points * 10 ) to the maximum roll, either ( ( max points * 10 ) + 100 ) or 1600.
Here is a small example to help clarify the rolling procedure. We have Bob, Martha, Jimmy, and Daebola.
All 4 of these people are after a Dain Head, which costs 20 points. Bob comes to almost everything, and
in this case, has the high points score with 168 points. Martha has 153, Jimmy has 46, and Daebola has 12.
Daebola is a putz, hasn't shown up to much stuff, and does not have enough points to be in on the roll, as
the minimum points needed to be in on this item is 20. The rolls are then setup between the other 3.
Bob and Martha both have over 150 points, so they would both roll: 1500 to 1600
Jimmy has 46 points, over 20 so he is allowed in. His roll will be: (46 * 10) to the high roll, or 460 to 1600.
Then the person with the highest random wins, simple enough.
On all items, full members will have priority over applicants or temp tagged applicants. If a full member wants in
on an item, only other full members will be allowed in the roll. If no full members want it, then applicants will be
allowed in. If further no applicants want it, then any temp tagged applicants will have a chance. Applicants will
gain points for showing up like any other member. Temp tagged applicants will be listed as guests and will not gain
points until they are allowed to keep the tag. However, during loot calls I encourage everyone to send a tell if the
item is an upgrade, chances are no full members may want the item, and it will goto an applicant.
A more detailed version of the entire system is found in our library, available to all members.
