TypeIndexer is the premier font utility that finds, sorts, catalogs and samples all of your PostScript fonts.
Its unique and outstanding feature is the ability to find and process any number of font files at one time - without having to install them. Of course, it works with installed ones, too!
You can create font catalogs with samples of all Postscript typefaces in your library. TypeIndexer prints an alphabetical list of all font [printer file] names, with line samples of each, at up to 60 typefaces per page.
For more detailed inspection, it can sample 1, 2, 4, 6, 15, 20 or 40 fonts on a page in a variety of template formats. New free templates are added to this website, and TypeIndexer provides tools to write your own!
A file location index finds and shows the exact location of each printer font file. A Character Chart displays all available characters for any font.
TypeIndexer works with OS 9.2.2 or through 'Classic' in OS X and Jaguar. Using its "Print-To-Disk" feature you can now create PDF files in minutes using Adobe's Distiller application or 'MacGhostView'.
