The Phantom Hourglass (The Object)

Now, did you notice that if you take the Triforce, and put a shadow under it, then look at it, the two empty spots form an hourglass. this could signify that the Phantom Hourglass is some sort of object that transfers energy (possibly from some sort of Anti-Force opposite of the Triforce). So, let's say that the Phantom Hourglass does transfer energy. And that maybe the Triforce and this "Anti-Force" had a fourth piece at some point. Maybe the Phantom Hourglass transferred the pieces to the other force, but something happened to it then. This may not make any sense, but the image does say a lot, doesn't it? You heard this first from Fairy's Fountain!

Link & Zelda: Brother and Sister?

This theory is quite plausible, as there are several reasons to suggest why. For example, in A Link to the Past, you receive the sword from your uncle, and then he says "You must save Zelda, she is your..." Well, what could he have said? Aunt? Mother? Unlikely. Zelda is too young. Obviously, if you look at other details, what he would have finished with would be "sister". Also, in Ocarina of Time, the Mother of Link carries him to the Kokiri Forest, and gives him to the Deku Tree. The word "Father" is not even mentioned in that lecture given by the Deku Tree Sprout. And, if you ever did think about it, Zelda's mother wasn't mentioned, even though she would be the Queen of Hyrule. The "Mother" in that Zelda's life was obviously Impa, her nurse, but why doesn't she have a real mother? Because her mother is Link's mother (which means they're brother and sister). Also, Zelda does mention "That Link's name sounds familiar" when she "meets" him in Ocarina of Time. Also, in Wind Waker, Tetra has an oddly same colored skin to your Grandma, doesn't she? And why do you have a Grandma, and not mom, or dad? And if Link and Zelda were brother and sister in Ocarina of Time (let's just assume that for now), then the descendants would recieve their respective Triforces (why Link finds the Triforce of Courage and Tetra the Triforce of Wisdom) And, returning to the skin-color thing, the King of Hyrule also has that skin color (Which means he is of course related to Zelda; she is the Princess and he is the King, but Grandma has that same skin tone). In so many Zelda games, everyone expects Link and Zelda to get married, but they never do. Why? Because I think that they are brother and sister, and they find out at the end. This theory has a TON of hidden evidence everywhere. There might even be a very obvioius clue that points right to it, but hasn't been discovered yet. Can you?
Notes of the Ocarina

I, being a musically active person, am interested in playing music from the Zelda Series. So, I have discovered what notes equal the arrows used in OoT and MM. With these, you can play any song taught on the Ocarina. (Please note that these are the piano translations, and may not sound perfect on other insruments without first a translation) Okay,

Phoenix and Fourth Triangle Piece theory
by Zelinxia

We all know that the Triforce is one of the quintessential elements in the Zelda games. And we should know that there are three pieces to the Triforce: Power, Wisdom, and Courage. But some speculate that there is a fourth piece to the Triforce, in which many argues that it is called the “Triforce” not the “Tetraforce”. Many came to think that such a fourth piece exists due to an item from the well known Zelda game, Ocarina of Time.

If you look at the picture of the Hylian Shield, you see that there is first the Triforce, then a red-like bird (most likely a phoenix) with an upside down triangle in its talons below the Triforce. It is this upside down triangle that many fans come to believe that there is a missing Triforce piece and with that also a fourth, important goddess. And that the missing piece is supposed to fill in the middle of the Triforce, making it a big, solid triangle.

First of all, just because there are other gods and goddesses besides the three golden ones, doesn’t mean they necessarily have a representative Triforce piece. Look at Cyclos and Zephos; wind is their symbols. There are many other examples, but I’m sure you get it.

Well you might ask, then what is the upside down triangle supposed to mean? I have two reasons. The first one is that…it could just be a decoration for all you know that the developers decided to put on the shield! Not everything has to have a reason in the designs. And then there is my other theory, which is very long and could be more far-fetched for all I know…

The Triforce and the phoenix are considered the symbol of the Royal Family of Hyrule. I simply think that the Triforce represents the entire land of Hyrule, including its legends and lores. The phoenix could represent what the real mythical thing stands for: reincarnation and a new beginning.

Since the phoenix is depicted as under the Triforce, it is showing that Hyrule itself and its legends and lores are continuously repeating. Well, that’s a concept all of us fans should get, since you know the basic story of most of the games. Ganondorf attempts to take over Hyrule, managing to throw the land into darkness. Link comes in to defeat Ganondorf and save the kingdom of Hyrule. There is proof that the games are tied, but I’m not here for timeline debates, thank you.

Because the legends are continuously repeated, I think that after Ganondorf touched the Triforce the first time and after it splitted, the bond between Link, Princess Zelda, and Ganondorf is inseparable. Call it like a curse if you want.
And the only way for the bond to break is if something happened that the same old story can actually stop. This is where the phoenix and the upside down triangle come in place. I believe that the phoenix is a symbol for the Goddess of Time, who I think is actually a real deity in the stories. The phoenix, or Goddess of Time, is holding the upside down triangle, knowing that if it does ever get put into the Triforce, the cycle of legends will stop.

So it’s like she’s taunting the three Triforce holders and basically Hyrule. And since the upside down triangle is never inside the Triforce, the legends will always continue. Hyrule will always get cast in darkness until a left-handed hero in green tunic comes to save the day.

I might have confused some of you in stating that there is a fourth missing Triforce piece in my theory, but I’m just trying to say that it is merely a representation that just the presence of the Goddess of Time is in fact the reason why the poor, poor kingdom of Hyrule always have to suffer the same fate like nearly every century. (That is also debatable, but I’m not up to it.)

This is certainly one of my fascinating theories, and I have tons more, but I don’t think I can share it unless you want to read like a length of ten pages! Thank you for taking your time to read this theory!
