NITD NEWSLETTER
 NOVEMBER, 2009

From Our Lay Director:

The Leaves are Changed, NUTS!

Well, by now most or all the leaves have changed if not fallen to blanket the ground

for winter.  There are still some acorns rolling around that haven’t been snagged by

squirrels.

In the last newsletter I suggested a new acronym for ACORN, Accept Christ Only

Redeeming Nails. I discussed Luke 17(from the NKJV). Have you read the chapter?  Please go read it………………………………………………………………...Are you back? Good.  By review, there is a call for Faith and Duty.

Duty implies an action.  Now Grace is free. We have to do nothing to receive Gods

Grace, the Grace, in His Sons death on the cross, which was for all our sins. When we come to believe or have faith in Jesus as our Savior (faith is also a free gift) we have a duty according to Luke 17 to respond to the grace.  We also know this in Tres Dias as our

piety, enhanced by study which leads to our Christian Action. We follow the ideal, Jesus

Christ, led by the Holy Sprit as part of the church. We live sacred moments of grace,

overcome obstacles to grace, and become Christian leaders changing environments as we live a life in grace as part of a Christian community in action living in total security in our forth day, bolstered, upheld and prayed for in our reunion groups.

Have you ever thought of the symbolism of Jesus on the cross? His hands and feet

immobilized.  No longer can he go from city to city to tell people to repent for the

kingdom of God is at hand.  No longer can He touch those that need healing or walk to

where they are in need of His healing.  No longer can he hug the children that come to

Him.  Some of His last words were “it is finished”.

That leaves us with the duty to be His hands and feet. To go spread the Good News of

Gods grace in Jesus because of what He did on the cross for our sake.  To go where there is a need for salvation, healing, feeding, encouragement and love.  To go to where there is need of revival and renewal. This of course is not that we have to, but that we get to. So start with your reunion group For those that have lapsed in attending, those that never started, and to the new pilgrims, START.  You will be blessed in doing just that.  Also, come to secuelas. Our next one is November 14, 2009.  Come be encouraged.

So ask yourself, have I responded to grace?  What is my dutiful response?  Where is

God calling me now?  Am I still looking and listening for God?  What obstacles, not just

sin, (broader than sin) are there that are keeping me from responding to Gods

grace in my life?   My prayer for you is that Elohim, Creator God, will create more

grace and more faith, in your life to produce more response and more fruit that is evident

to each of you.

Be blessed and of Good Cheer.

GLYASDI!

REFLECTIONS OF TRES DIAS #34 MEN’S AND WOMEN’S WEEKEND

Well it looks like we can finally put NITD Men’s Team #34 in the history book.  We know who was on team and who the candidates were but we may never know the final outcome of this weekend.  God did a mighty work during the training of the team and also during the weekend itself.

Struggles were plentiful as this team was put together.  But our God, who is faithful and just, gave us the strength to overcome them.  All of us made new friends as well as getting to know old friends better.

As Rector for Men’s Weekend #34, I would like to say thank you to all who answered God’s call to serve on this team.  May I say I have never served with a better bunch of men and I thank all of you who prayed for us on a daily or consistent basis.  You are the reason this weekend was a success.  It was not through our power but only through the power of your prayers through which God was able to use us.

Now, as we turn our focus to Weekend #35, may God put the call to serve on each heart that is to be on team.  Answer the call promptly, do not miss the blessings God has in store for you by being a part of this team from the beginning.  Begin praying now for Xav and Dave as they prepare to lead God’s team.

It was a joy and honor to lead this weekend.  GLYASDI, Ron Spartz,

Dear NITD Community:

Thank you for the privilege and honor to serve NITD #34 as you Rectora and Head Cha.  God was with us in a powerful way and it was definitely His weekend.  We will always remember: “Satan trembles when we fall to our knees” and we praise God for the victory.  Thank you team of #34, you blessed everyone in so many ways.  Your commitment to this weekend was truly amazing.  Remember to follow up with the new Pescadores and ask them to the Secuela on Saturday, November 14, 2009.  Please encourage them to stay connected on their 4th day and continue to build relationships with the NITD Community.

Bless you all-GLYASDWe, Joni Spartz & Sherry Bunger
