She is absolutely fearless, chasing around a bemused Siamese cat nearly twice her size.

This is a great horned owl fledgling that appeared
in our next-door neighbor's yard one morning. It
allowed us to approach to within a matter of feet.
We contacted the local Birds of Prey Foundation,
which told us that it probably had just been forced
out of the nest in what is a wholly natural process.
