We are the New Jersey Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS).


What's New!

The 2010 EDWARD R. HALL/ROBERT R. HANNA SCHOLARSHIP has been awarded to Carly Aulicky of Gillette, NJ. Carly has an Associate’s Degree in Biology from Raritan Valley Community College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Carly will be a 19 year old senior this fall at Rutgers University School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, majoring in Ecology. She is also pursuing a certificate from Rutgers in environmental geomatics. She hopes to graduate Summa Cum Laude and enter graduate school in fall 2011. In addition, Carly has pursued many volunteer opportunities in the wildlife conservation arena.

A total of 8 scholarship applications were received from some very well rounded students. We would like to thank all of the students who applied and encourage them to apply again next year. Please watch this website for deadline and application information, which should be available in December 2010.

The Soil and Water Conservation Society fosters the development and application of science- based policies and practices for managing soil, water, and related natural resources in order to achieve sustainability. As a multidisciplinary professional association, SWCS promotes, through education and example, an ethic that recognizes the interdependence of people and the environment.
