Can I swab your cheek? It's really a simple (and painless) test that can help you prove (or disprove) relationships, especially if you're missing a generational link. I collected my father's DNA since he was the only son of a Scottish immigrant whose five siblings didn't have children. So far, no close matches, but with more people using DNA to solve genealogy problems, the more likely I will get a match in the future.
