| Thin Film Composite Membrane Technology
Thin film composite (TFC) membrane is a triple layer film formed by a two-step process. A typical commercial membrane consists of a non-woven fabric for handling strength, a thick porous nonselective layer, and an ultra-thin barrier layer to provide selective properties. This technique has been utilized to produce many different types of reverse osmosis membranes for a variety of applications such as sea water and brackish water desalination, ground water softening, waste water purification, etc. NL Chemical Technology can provide flat sheet and hollow fiber membrane manufacturing facilities, from design to fabrication of the machines. We also provide installation, start up, and training to customers in producing state-of-the-art thin film composite reverse osmosis membranes. Design, installation and training for spiral element rolling machines such as sheet cutter, sonic welder, rolling station and filament winding can all be provided in our One-Stop services. |
RO membrane has been successfully applied to treat water for many different applications. Our membrane system design and fabrication capability has been demonstrated to meet the needs of many industrial applications:
