Text Box: The League of Postmasters National Convention was held in Las Vegas, Nevada July 22 to 26 2007. For those of you who couldn’t be there it was a great convention. Vegliante, Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Vice President, Al Lazaroff Chief Postal Inspector, Dale Goff, President, NAPUS and Ted Keating, President, VPS. Charlie Mapa, League President spoke of the changes that are going to be facing all Postmaster and how all the association need to work together in order to make it so that the everyone can have the opportunity for a fulfilling and successful career in the United States Postal Service.

Text Box: This year the League of Postmasters had a large number of “First Timers” attending and the League members made them all feel very special. The ”First Timers” were very impress on the workshops especially on Career Development, NPA and especially Negotiation Skills for Branch Officers and Area Coordinators which was conduct by John DeFalco our League Attorney. I would like to thank every one who worked hard at the convention to make it a success, especially our Retirees and Auxiliary who were well attended and are always there when you need them. This year we must make every effort to contact new Postmasters and OIC to get them to join the League of Postmasters. Connecticut needs to increase our membership. As soon as I hear of a new PM, OIC or PMR I make contact right away either by e-mail or a phone call. I try to offer any help they made need
