My Frozen Fruit Salad Ambrosia

This isn't your usual mix-it-all fruit salad recipe. The following, except for the liqueur, are basic ingredients to put together a simple ambrosia. Anything outside this recipe is absolutely up to you. It takes a bit of prep time, but I assure you it's well worth it.

  1. Completely drain fruit cocktail. Spread out on a tray and place in freezer about 2 hours or overnight.

  2. Briskly shake canned cream for a few seconds up to 1 minute. Pour in a bowl and mix in condensed milk. Add more if needed, 1 tsp at a time, but not too much as it can overpower the fruit mix. Refrigerate for about 2 hours or overnight.

  3. Transfer about 2/3 cup frozen fruit chunks onto an individual dessert dish. Transfer the rest in a freezer bag or a contaner with lid and place back in freezer. Add in Grand Marnier and mix to coat thoroughly. Top with a dollop of chilled sweetened cream. Enjoy!

This obviously is for grown-ups. For minors, leave out the Grand Marnier.
