Homer and Georgia Newman are my grandparents on my mother's side. Homer was born Homer Haugh, son of Spencer Haugh and Maude May Newman. Maude died when Homer was a small child. His father Spencer left him for his grandparents to raise. His grandparents were Robert Newman and Jane Stroud Newman. Homer adopted his mothers maiden name of Newman as a teenager and used the name for the rest of his life.
