A Doctor of Musical Arts from the Peabody Conservatory, pianist Bok Hwa Kim has concertized widely both as a soloist and an ensemble artist. She made her solo debut at the age of six, and appeared as an orchestral soloist at the age of eleven. Ms. Kim studied at the Juilliard School with Gyorgy Sandor and, at Peabody with Leon Fleisher and Julian Martin. An accomplished early keyboard instrumentalist, she also studied harpsichord and fortepiano with Shirley Mathews at Peabody. Ms. Kim has a private piano studio, and is now a faculty member at the Howard Community College. |
