Marlee Lindon has been a member
of the music faculty at Howard Community College for over fifteen years.
She is a Life Member of the National Flute Association, has been published
in their professional journal, has served on various committees and as
adjudicator, and has performed at five conventions. She is also a Life
Member of the Flute Society of Washington, where she has served on the
board of directors, has presented workshops, and has been featured performer
with her Lindon-Sherman Flute & Guitar Duo. She is a permanently certified
flute teacher member of the Maryland State Music Teachers Association,
the Greater Columbia Music Teachers Association and the Music Teachers
National Association, where her students have won competitions at the local,
state and division levels.
Ms. Lindon presents concerts and musical programs with guitarist Ben Sherman in the The Lindon-Sherman Flute & Guitar Duo, and in collaboration with pianist Alison Matuskey. Ms. Lindon is a member of the Gettysburg Symphony and has appeared as soloist with the orchestra. She has also been soloist with the Columbia Chamber Orchestra, the Prince Georges Symphony and the Prince Georges Wind Ensemble. The Lindon-Sherman Flute & Guitar Duo has released their first CD, A Wedding Sampler , available through Marlee at fluteplace, or Ben at Ben Sherman - Guitar. Her degrees in flute performance are from Miami University and the University of Illinois. Her teachers include Jack Wellbaum, Donald Peck, William Montgomery and Mark Sparks. |
