Dreams & Hallucinations
Many ARDS patients have reported experiencing very vivid,
intense dreams while in a coma. The nature of these
dreams vary. Sometimes they can serve to reassure,
comfort and soothe the patient. At other times they
provoke anxiety, fear, even terror. Some are more like
hallucinations. Others actually seem to be near-death
experiences. Whatever their nature, one thing they have
in common--they seem all too real.
We have collected here a number of dreams of ARDS
patients. These have been categorized as follows:
If you are an ARDS survivor, and you had
dreams while you were in a coma that you would like to share
with others, please e-mail us at nw-ards@comcast.net.
Include your name, the type of dream it was (based on the
above categories), and a detailed description of your
dream. We will try to include as many dreams as possible
in the site. |
