PURPOSE:
- To enhance appreciation of the aesthetic value of lichens
and mosses on human-made structures.
- To create an artistic forum for a close look at the interface
between humans and nature.
- To educate about the relative harmlessness of lichens and
mosses on man-made structures as well as their potential usefulness
as aesthetic components of the urban landscape.
- To educate about basic natural history of lichens and mosses.
