Descriptions:
Officers
*Chapter Chief: The youth leader of the Chapter. He is also a member of the Lodge Executive Committee. Presides over Chapter Meetings and Circle of Chiefs Meetings. Attends Lodge Meetings and represents the Chapter.
*Vice Chief: The youth leader in charge of administration. Appoints Chairs for Membership/Brotherhood, Elections, Vigil/Awards, Indian Events, Camp Promotion/Summer Camp, Service, and Chapter Events committees. Presides at meetings if Chief is not present.
Vice Chief Northeast and Vice Chief Pioneer: Youth leaders, each representing one of the two districts (Northeast and Pioneer) of the Chapter, who assist the Chapter Chief in their respective districts and help the OA Troop Rep Chairman.
Vice Chief Communications: The youth leader in charge of communications through the newsletters and website.
*Secretary: Youth leader who prepares meeting agendas, makes notes at meetings, submits articles to the newsletter as appropriate, and keeps the records of the Chapter.
Treasurer: Youth leader who manages the finances and fundraising for the Chapter.
Committees
Membership/Brotherhood: Checks on inactive members and maintains membership records, sends out letters each year to identify active members and checks address changes, and sends letters to Ordeal members eligible for Brotherhood membership. Encourages eligible Ordeal members to advance to Brotherhood and provides for members to examine candidates for Brotherhood.
Elections: Sends out information to the unit leaders regarding membership election procedures, organizes and trains unit election teams, schedules visits of election teams to units, and records the results of elections.
Vigil/Awards: Nominates Scouts and Scouters for OA's highest honor and represents (or appoints a representative of) the Chapter for the Lodge’s Vigil Nomination Meeting in March. Encourages participation and administers the awards program of the Chapter.
Indian Events-Ceremonies & Dance Team: Recruits and trains ceremonial teams, instructs members on appropriate ceremonial clothing, keeps ceremonial grounds in good condition, and conducts ceremonies and demonstrations for the Chapter. Encourages participation in chapter or lodge level dance and drum teams.
Camp Promotion/Summer Camp Program: Develops plans for camping promotion for the troops in the Chapter and recruits teams to go to units to provide camp promotion presentations. Informs and encourages participation in OA summer camp program.
Service: Suggests a schedule of service projects for the Chapter and makes plans for getting the work done. Acts or appoints someone to act as Service Chairman at the Ordeals.
Chapter Events: Develops plans for ordeals, meetings, and events. Appoints or acts as Ordeal Master or event chair.
Troop or Unit Representatives: Acts as liaison between OA and unit and coordinates unit involvement with OA including Unit Elections, Brotherhood testing, Camp Promotions, service opportunities, service sign-off, requesting Lodge and Chapter resources to help meet unit needs, and giving feedback to the Lodge and Chapter on the program.

advice.
