Amended ARTICLES 0F INC0RP0RATION STATE OF
WASHINGTON
The undersigned, for the purpose of forming amending
the original articles of a corporation
under the nonprofit laws of the state of Washington, RCW 24.03, states the
following:
ARTICLE I NAME
The name of the corporationthe Corporation
shall be: The Olympia Amateur Radio Society, Also known as
(AKA) OARS.
ARTICLE II DURATION
The term of existence shall be: Ninety
nine yearsperpetual.
ARTICLE III PURPOSE
The
purposes for which the corporation is organized are as follows: The
purpose of this organization shall be to promote the interest of and active
participation in amateur radio, emergency communication and public
service." All of the purposes and
powers of the Corporation shall be exercised
exclusively for the charitable, scientific and educational purposes in
such manner that the Corporation shall
qualify as an exempt organization under Section 501 (c)
(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”)
or any successor provision, and that contributions to the Corporation shall
be deductible under Section 170 (c) (2)
of the Code or any successor provision.

The name of the registered agent of the corporation the

ARTICLE
V DISSOLUTION
Upon the dissolution of the Corporation, the assets of the Corporation remaining after the payment of, or provision for the payment of all debts and liabilities of the Corporation shall be distributed for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Code or corresponding section of any future federal tax code, or shall be distributed to the federal government, or to a state or local government, for public purpose.
