Dad Bass

This is my Dad, James (Papaw) Durbin,  with the biggest bass he ever caught.  It came from Lake Jackson here in Tallahassee in 1990.

The bass weighed 9 pounds 8 ounces.  He caught it on a live shiner and released it.

Truck and boat
This 1984 Bass Tracker Tournament TX was my father's.  He bought it new right after he retired.  Back then, Bass Pro Shops did not have dealers. Dad and Mom drove to Springfield, Missouri to pick the boat up.

In the summer of 2008 I replaced the original outboard with a new 2006 2 stroke Mercury 50 hp.  The motor has power trim and tilt which the old one didn't have.

The truck is a 2008 Ranger XLT with a 3.0 liter six cylinder.
