Eddie Alderson's resume just got a little more impressive. The 13 year old (editors note: now 14), who plays Matthew Buchanan on "One Life to Live" (Side note: We can't believe he's already 13. We're getting old!), co-stars with Angelina Jolie in the upcoming release "Changeling." The film's director? Clint Eastwood.

The movie, which is set to open this fall, is based on a true story from the 1920s and centers on a mother (played by Angelina) whose young child is kidnapped. Five years later, the boy is returned home -- but Angelina suspects it's not actually her little boy. Too bad Viki Lord Davidson (Erika Slezak) wasn't as perceptive as Angelina when her daughter Natalie was kidnapped as a baby and Jessica was returned!

Anyway, Eddie stars as Sanford Clark, a boy who plays into the investigation of the kidnapping. The early buzz surrounding the film is really, really positive; it was a big hit at the recent Cannes Film Festival. Eddie's getting rave reviews as well -- Todd McCarthy of Variety called him "extraordinary." Congrats, Eddie!

We wonder if all of Eddie's experience working with Phil Carey (ex-Asa), who starred in dozens of Westerns back in the day, prepared him to work with Clint Eastwood. Both have that "tough-cowboy/anti-hero" thing going on ...
