A Gallery of 3-D Imagery

The small images on this page may be clicked on to open their larger counterpart. Most of the images were done in Truespace, though the zoid comes to you through the modelling and rendering found in Imagine.

"Flowers" was modeled in Truespace, but the water was created in Alladin, a 3-D program on the Amiga. I just like the way it does water and wave type effects Each flower is slightly different, one translucent, one crystaline and the other - who knows what. They aren't meant to be particulary realistic, more like "cyberflowers."

"Bonsai" used a stand-alone modeler, Vertex, to make the tree and it was saved in DXF and imported into Truespace, where the rest of the models were done.

"Under Carfax Abbey" was inspired by the misty imagery of Dracula's home while in England - from the 1931 film version.

"The Lab" is a frame from an animation where the dials spin, the handle rises, the "lightning" pulsates and the cube in the bell jar vanishes as the handle reaches 10000.

"Zoid" was another guy that sat on top of my monitor for a long time and I finally decided to model it. There were lately Techno-Zoids available in toy stores, but this was modeled after the first series of put 'em together and wind them up toys made by Tomy in the late seventies. If you haven't seen them, they are pretty nice. Each has a wind up motor and once assembled, they move in very interesting ways.

"Landscape" is a little Truespace experiment in reflection and dropping in of a VistaPro background to create an alien type landscape.
