There are many period martial arts practiced in the SCA. Here are the
links to the various forms the members of Weld Lake are involved
in:
Fencing - This utilizes live steel for competition. There are
currently no youth fencers in Weld Lake
Heavy Fighting - This form is the heavy armor used by the knights and
man-at-arms for the off horseback fighting. It uses the practice weapons
of the middle ages - rattan weapons.
Archery - This is the form using recurve bows and wooden arrows.
Includes ballistas, trebuchets, catapults.
