Public demo times are approximate.
Set up starts Wednesday night after 5pm. Tear down is after 6pm on Sunday. Contact event/merchant steward for more information.
There is limited camping on site for those participating in the demo. Contact the Event Steward - Lord Finnian McFinn - via e-mail address seneschal@weldlake.org for more information on camping space and restrictions. Camping onsite for period pavilions/tents only.
Modern camping available at Brighton Recreation Area (a Michigan state park).

Currently there are no site fees for SCA members providing demos. Food and drink are provided for Medieval Village demonstrators by the Canton of Weldlake. Fair food is also available to purchase throughout the Balloonfest site. All merchants/vendors MUST DEMO per agreement with the Howell Chamber of Commerce (sponsors of the the Michigan Challenge Balloonfest.) Parking passes are $12 daily or $20 for the weekend and include admission for
everyone in the car and three chances to win a hot-air balloon ride for two,
courtesy of Renaissance Balloons. Discounted weekend parking passes are
available for $15 in advance at any National City bank office in Livingston
County until June 21. Parking passes allow you to re-enter the grounds as often
as you wish on the day indicated on the pass. Medieval
Village demonstrators may receive free parking passes by contacting the autocrat
or merchocrat. Medieval Village parking passes are only good for the Grand River
entrance (red gate.) Fighters are considered demonstrators, but
you must contact the autocrat or merchocrat before the event for parking passes.

Handicapped parking is available at all entrances of the Michigan Challenge
Balloonfest. Guests in vehicles with a handicapped license should bring it to
the attention of the parking attendant and will be shown to a special parking
area where access to the launch site and festival grounds is completely paved.

Check in at the information booth (troll) at arrival to village. The information booth will have demonstration times posted. All campers and demonstrators will receive their setup locations from the Autocrat at troll, as well as their meal passes.
