The Appalachian Trail In Connecticut


The AT traverses northwest Connecticut for 53 miles between New York State and Massachusetts. The region contains abundant fresh air, beautiful views and remarkable solitude. It is a wonderful place for a short dayhike or an extended overnight adventure. There is a Connecticut AT map available to help you plan your hike.

How To Use This Page

* There are two main sections, Hiking North from New York and Hiking South from Massachusetts. Each section covers the entire trail length.
* Each main section is divided into 7 smaller hikes by trailhead, thus having 14 total hikes. Hikes 1-7 are northbound. Hikes 8-14 are southbound.
* Each of the hikes listed contains information about parking, trailheads, camping or shelters and availibility of water/food/supplies.
