This is was my brother's first car. A 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix SE
- the Blue Bomber. This car was bought brand new by my parents in
March of 1994, and my brother bought it from them when he was 16 or 17.
It came factory equipped with a factory freak motor. Under the hood
was a GM 3100 OHV V6 with a 4T60-E 4-spd Auto Transmission. This car
was only supposed to have 160HP, but his pulled much harder than that.
These cars were also supposed to run a leisurely 17 second quarter mile
time, but my brothers personal best time was a 16.2 at about 83 MPH with
only a catback exhaust and cold air intake.
He loved this car. But, after a camshaft swap that completely
confused the cars computer, it lost most of its daily drivability.
Along with the fact that the transmission was wearing out and the car was
just generally showing its ten years of daily use, he decided to step up
to something better.
This car was sold on August 14, 2004 with only 88k miles. It
served this family well for 10 years, taking all the abuse that we threw
at it.
