My Research Roots

I first became interested in my family genealogy when I was 10 years old.  My   teacher gave us an assignment to design our family tree.  The project was the beginning of my life long genealogy and family history research.  As a teenager, I was fortunate to have "interviewed" all four of my grandparents regarding their parents, grandparents and siblings.  I wish now I had asked them more questions (don't we all?).

With my interest in family history I have proclaimed myself the "self appointed Family Historian".  So far there have been no objections.

I am a member of the DAR *Old Glory Chapter, Franklin, Tennessee,  NSDAR National Society of the Daughter's of the American Revolution  *GSMD The General Society of Mayflower Descendants *NEHGS  New England  Historic Genealogical Society.

In October, 2004, I was the winner of the 23rd Annual Audrey Zube Jones Family History Purchase Award for Genealogical Emphasis, for my book, "The März and Sperl Family History; Our German-Bohemian Ancestors" presented by the Heritage Education Committee, Moorhead State University, Moorhead, Minnesota.

Hooked on Genealogy

I am not the only one in my family hooked on genealogy.  My brother, Lenny and I have been working on our family lineages together since 1992.

Meet Two More

There are two more family members who also keep our family heritage alive.  They just have a different way of expressing it.  Their Family Plots Project is so unusual, you have to see it for yourself.
