MARY’S BACKYARD: EGG NECKLACE
We
are doing 1 egg necklace. ....not everything in the picture.
I
will bring each person a 2” wooden “pullet” egg sanded to be
round on the bottom with a screw eye inserted in the top,
and a length of cord for a necklace. If you have pin shapes
or other hardwood turnings that you are interested in
working on, bring them to class. Do NOT pre-seal your wood
pieces. This class is being repeated by special
request. If you have done an egg before and prefer something
else, you can do several pins. Michaels has packages of
wooden flat hardwood discs that will work well for you. Dome
shapes also are nice for pins.
Cost: $14
Please bring the usual painting supplies including a PENCIL
and at least one sheet of PLAIN WHITE PAPER.
Brushes: IMPORTANT: An assortment of GOOD flats: #2,
#4,#6,#8; a #1 or #0 LINER, an ABUSED#2 flat for trees or
very small deerfoot, Loew Cornell series 7050 series 18/0
script liner or 7350 18/0 liner …or other “three gnats’
eyelashes liner”. The tiny liner HAS to be in very good
condition.
A
magnifying glass will not be needed!
I
originally painted this in Delta. I am providing directions
for the older Delta and/or DecoArt Americana. These
are NOT intended to be exact conversions, but they are
suitable for what we are doing.
