Thursday, June 13, 1935: "Wedding Anniversary is observed in Alaska - The following from the Nome Daily Nugget under date of May 20 will be of interest to many of our readers: 'The silver wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Allyn of this city, was observed by a family dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold F. Harper Saturday, May 18th. Mr. & Mrs. Allyn were married at Issaquah, Washington, May 18, 1910, and lived for most of the intervening time in and about the city, until coming to Nome last spring. They received a number of silver gifts. Present at the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Allyn, Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Nevin, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Myatt, Mr and Mrs. H.F. Harper, Clifford Coutts, Emery Harper, Raymond Allyn, and S.P. Wallin."
