PIRA Ghost Stories;
Our Gettysburg ExperienceBy Kenneth Biddle & Diana Fodor We are proud to announce that our very
first publication, We'll take you from the Rose Farm to the Jennie Wade House, through the boulders of Devil's Den to our "Secret" spot just off the Wheatfield. You'll read about a late Night Visitor in our hotel, then travel the back alleys to hear about a Missed Opportunity! This book will be slightly different from the other ghost books on the shelves. These are our own personal experiences in Gettysburg; experienced by us, documented by us, and all photographs taken by us. You won't see photographs of trees and bushes with the caption "See the Confederate Soldier". No, if it's in this book as evidence, then it has been put through every test and has been picked apart. |
This is the first book in our Ghost Stories series, which highlights the experiences of the authors in order to give you first-hand accounts, rather then third party stories. |

A Guide To Paranormal InvestigationBy Kenneth Biddle You have a camera. You've got your digital voice recorder. You're on your way to a site you heard was haunted. You're a ghost hunter, right? Well, that's a very basic idea of one. In fact, the description above is just the beginning of your journey, should you choose to continue to pursue the field of paranormal research and investigation. A Guide To Paranormal Investigation can help you on your way. Contained within these pages is information to help you every step of the way; from background information every ghost hunter should be aware of...to the inclusion of specific documentation forms we've used over the years. We go over Equipment, Contacting Clients, Preliminary and Formal Investigations, Research Session and even Safety Concerns. We've basically taken every step we take from the formation of PIRA, until the end of an investigation....and put them into this book to share with you. We invite you to read, learn and then share your ideas with us. |
This is the first book in our Investigation Series, designed to promote improved investigation techniques and evidence analysis. |

Orbs or Dust?
A Practical Guide to False-PositivesBy Kenneth Biddle It's a simple question. The answer depends on who you talk to. Some believe they are indeed Orbs, pure energy representations of what used to be a living person. Those on this side of the coin offer detailed diagrams exploring the visible layers of the Orbs, color-coded charts to explain the emotion Orbs are displaying when photographed...and even insight into the "psychology" of Orbs. I'm more on the flip side of that coin. I've done my homework and have found many natural causes that can create the same image of an Orb. So, yes...I usually lean towards the answer of Dust. Come with me as we take a look at False-Positives; evidence that appears to be paranormal, but actually has a natural explanation. We will take a look not only at Orbs, but through the many other forms in which ghosts have been "captured". You will learn about mistakes, tricks of light and a camera feature that has been wreaking havoc in the ghost hunting community. We will also look at a few ways "Investigators" deliberately produce images, including step-by-step instructions on how they "capture" a shadow man with the help of Photoshop. I've even included a few experiments you can do to verify many of these results yourself. "Just wanted to
drop you a line to let you know I just finished your book, Orbs Or
Dust?. I am the Larry you refer to in your Introduction. I liked your
book a lot and think it should be required reading for all paranormal
investigators." "I've already learned a
great deal from your books, so let me thank you and the rest of your
team for all the hard work put into compiling the information and making
it available to the rest of us." "After reading your
"Orbs or Dust" book, I admit I'm much more skeptical about any
photographic anomalies, and certainly won't be including any in my own
book as "evidence." I'll stick to those of artistic or
historic value, simply to illustrate the stories. That way I won't
inadvertently sacrifice my credibility as a writer or historian by photo
anomalies that can be easily explained. If it saves me any embarrassment
later on, I'll have your book to thank for that." |
This is the second book in our Investigation Series, designed to promote improved investigation techniques and evidence analysis. It has been referred to as an excellent reference guide for false-positive evidence. |

![]() The T-Shirt To coincide with the release of our new book, "Orbs or Dust?", we've put together some nice looking T-shirts. The logo represents the ongoing debate of Orbs in the ghost hunting community. Are these anomalies the energy forms of the deceased which are referred to as Orbs? Are they simply dust particles caught floating in front of your camera? Both sides are argued over and over again. This T-Shirt is meant to stimulate friendly discussions. Which side are you on? What do YOU think they are? Where it around and you'll generate interest in the paranormal. They're made of 100% Pre-Shrunk Cotton. They come in any color you would like, as long as it's Black. Right now, they're only available at Hunt's Cafe in Gettysburg, Pa. If you drop in, be sure to say "Hi" to the owners, Scott & Donna! They will also be available at the UNIV-CON ghost conference this October. |

Getting to Know Us;
Our Personal StoriesWritten & Compiled By Irene Terziu One of the most frequent questions a ghost hunter or paranormal investigator will hear is "So, what got you started chasing ghosts?" Irene has taken this idea to form the basis of Getting to Know Us, which takes the personal stories of the PIRA members...before they were PIRA members. Each member has contributed several stories, including the story of their first encounter with the paranormal. Each story is also written by the member who experienced the events. So you're getting first hand accounts of what was experienced. You'll also get to experience the different writing styles of our members, which will give you an insight to their personalities. All in all, we hope that you enjoy the stories of our experiences before we got together, and even some while the team was just starting out. Most important, we hope that you get to know us...just a little bit better. |
The second book in our Ghost Stories series, which highlights the experiences of the authors that really got them interested in paranormal research & investigation. We're working hard and it'll be out Soon!
