The photographs you see above were taken mere seconds apart. Padawan, seated in the hallway, had not even had a chance to change position. These photos were taken at approximately 11:00 PM, so it was quite dark outside. The only lights were from inside the home. As you can see in the second photograph, it appears to be daylight outside the window.

Kenny had taken this photograph with his Olympus C-60 ZOOM 6.1 mounted on a tripod. The settings had not been messed with during this sequence of photos (There were nine in the series). The only thing we can come up with is that since the camera was set to AUTO, something may have caused it to extend the shutter opening. However, we believe that would only account for the soft glow on the ceiling. We can't account the "daylight" outside the window. Even the window frame is darkened by the light coming in. The tree that can be seen there is actually a good 50 feet from the window.

Below is an actual day-time photograph of the same area, taken at about the same angle. This photo was taken about two weeks after the originals. Research has found that there was a tree rooted just a few feet outside the house, but -to be honest- I've never heard of a ghostly tree. The line you see in between Padawan's legs is from a parking spot across the driveway. As of this moment, we have no good explanation for this phenomenon. We welcome any suggestions you may have.
