About a hundred years ago, a young boy who was being abused at home sought refuge amongst the college women who lived here. The chain that seperates the room( there is a small display set up and the chain is to keep visitors from touching), has been seen swinging without the aid of a living being. It starts up and goes for a few minutes, then stops suddenly. On one of our many visits to Gettysburg, my wife and I were able to observe this phenomena. We were actually about to leave when the chain began swinging. Tests done by Dr. Charles Emmons of Gettysburg College, have confirmed that this is not caused by the traffic on the street -no matter how heavy- just out fornt of the house. Unfortunately, I had no such trouble with my camera while down there.

not operate while in the field…. Confederate sharpshooters have been sighted

to shoot.Again, like the Jenie Wade house, I have not had this sort of trouble
when taking picutres. |

Well, Mr. Raber was killed and the six almost got away. But it seems they liked to drink a bit at thier favorite tavern and talked a bit too loud. Witnesses came forward and the six were charged. Five of the six men were hung. These men were all buried at a small church cemetary in the woods at Fort Indiantown Gap.This is where the hauting takes place. There are stories of this area being haunted by the ghosts of the Blue Eyed Six. The cemetery is located on the top of a small mountain and it is a very dark and deserted area.
