Just who are we, anyway?

Well, this is probably one of the simplest questions we'll have to answer! Some of you out there have been wondering just what kind of people actually make up PIRA. Well, this section is here to tell you all just that!

Below you'll find the profiles of all of our members. You'll notice that they're broken up into two groups...the first group lists the investigators that are our full time members. These guys and girls have just naturally fallen into their own specific area, which you'll see listed below.

The second group lists our Apprentice investigators. They have joined our ranks to learn what we know, and to see for themselves if all this ghostly stuff is for real. They're going through a learning process right now, and in time they may become full investigators.

Enough small talk already, here are the members of PIRA...

The Investigators

Name-Ken Biddle

Nicknames- Superman, "The Boss"

Real Job- Auto Mechanic

Ghost Job- I'm the "The Boss". In other words, I plan out how the investigation will go. I set the teams, where they go, where stationary devices should go, etc. I make the final call on most of what we do. I'm also the webmaster, so chances are you'll talk to me first.

Creepiest thing That I've experienced do far- Well, I was in an old church in North Jersey investigating overnight. It's not used as a church anymore, but I figured that I would use myself as bait. I had found an old monk's robe and put it on, hoping that I'd provoke a response. I did. A few steps out into the main church and I had a feeling come over me that said "Get it off...NOW!" It was off in point three seconds flat!

Why in the world do I do this? Why indeed? Well, I had an experience when I was a child. Unfortunately, on hindsight, it was a good experience that my 8 year old brain just could not accept or understand. But since that time, I have been fascinated with the paranormal. Ghosts are at the top of my list. I do this because I want to know the truth about life after death. Everyone has their own opinion about it...Religions have writings and beliefs about it, but no one knows for sure. I'm just looking for answers, I guess. So far, I have found proof for myself that life exists after the body dies. I do this because that proof is only a scratch on the surface, and I have a habit of diving in head first!

Name- Donna B.

Nicknames- Don, Lois

Why in the world do I do this?
My husband is nice enough to drag me along. It also gives me something to do in my spare time, not like I have much. You get to meet lots of interesting people and hear many stories. It's a nice break from the everyday routine of life.

Real Job-
Accountant, World Famous Mommy (to Connor anyway)

Ghost Jobs-
Founder, Researcher, Editor: I try and look over everything that my husband post to the site but I am not taking responsibility for stuff that he post at one o'clock in the morning. He has a tendency to post stuff without letting me know so if you find any typo's email me or him and let us know. Thanks!

Creepiest thing that I've experienced so far- Walking around a church that has a cemetery surrounding it, and having someone or something rattling the doors of the church from the inside, trying to get out. Scared the life out of me.

Name- Patty A

Nicknames-
Patty, Sidwoman

Why in the world do I do this?
Just curious, I guess. But seriously, I have seen things that can't be explained. I believe there is so much more to life then just the time we spend on this Earth. I also think maybe ghosts are lost or need help to complete something they didn't finish while they were alive. I also enjoy investigating a place (house, boat, wherever) and then finding research that coincides with the EVP's or feelings and pictures we get. It's interesting, exciting and fun. (so far)

Real Job-
Assistant Branch Manager at a Bank

Ghost Jobs-
Historical Researcher, Investigator

Creepiest thing that I've experienced so far-
I wouldn't say "creepiest", but most unreal. A little girl peak out of a room then fall over a banister. You can check the story section for this. The creepy part was actually 2 things. 1. no one else saw it and 2. we found research to back up what I saw.

Real Job- Web Site Administrator and Product Marketing Manager for a medical publishing company.

Ghost Jobs- Multi-Media Director (In charge of Promotional Items, Advertising), Investigator (and whatever else Kenny tells me to do)

Creepiest thing that I've experienced so far- Being alone in my townhouse and hearing footsteps come up the stairs and walk past my bedroom door. Then standing in the doorway and hearing the footsteps walk past me and back down the stairs, across the living room and into the dinning room closet. Needless to say, I bolted for the front door.

Why in the world do I do this? There were strange happenings in the house that I grew up in, noises, objects moving, etc. Because of that, I developed an interest in the paranormal. Now I have the opportunity to explore into the "realm of the unexplained" in a quest for answers.

Ghost Jobs- Draftsman (In Charge of Floor Plans/ Schematics), Investigator (and whatever else Kenny tells me to do)

Name- Irene T.

Nicknames- "Crash"

Why in the world do I do this? I have been interested in paranormal activity since my daughter was "bothered" by something we could not see--only hear--things moving in our house and actual interaction with, by then, my 15 year old daughter. I also studied parapsychology for a year during the "incident". I needed some answers and some help since the activity was increasing. I still need answers.

Real Job- At home. "Mother" of 8 birds, 2 dogs and I do have 1 husband.

Ghost Jobs- Investigator, Paranormal Activities Researcher

Creepiest thing that I've experienced so far- I had a dream at my daughter's house regarding a man that appeared only in silhouette. He was standing over my bed and holding my 2 year old grandson. He then placed the boy in my arms and I woke up expecting my grandson to be in my arms. I realized that it was only a dream but kept it to myself for fear of frightening my daughter. Three weeks later, my daughter tells me she had been seeing a man in silhouette standing in the doorway of the bedroom I had been sleeping in. We both had similar descriptions of the man and were extremely unnerved by the incident. The man appeared to my daughter for several weeks.

Name- Dick B.

Real Job- My work background is in manufacturing and materials management. I enjoy negotiating with suppliers and manufacturing software systems

Ghost Job- Genealogy expert, Investigator

Why in the world do I do this?- I got in to this seemingly crazy hobby recently so I can find out where there really are ghosts! I believe there are, I've just not had "in my face" evidence just yet. I think there's a lot of unexplained phenomena that I'd like to investigate. I have a pretty good background in tracing people through genealogy and I think that may provide some clues. I like photography and this hobby makes me put on my thinking cap about how to capture images of ghosts that will pass a "scientific" appraisal. I've been on one investigation with this group and it was a great experience ...lookingforward to more!

Hobbies- I like rugby, golf, photography, visiting wineries and breweries, creating websites, and genealogy.
